This chart says it all. It shows the ever-escalating attacks by Afghan armed opposition groups, including the Taliban, over the past 4.5 years. The Afghan NGO Safety Office says in their new report: "We do not support the...perspective that this constitutes 'things getting worse before they get better' but rather see it as being consistent with the five year trend of things just getting worse."
