There was a lineside fire at Romford yesterday afternoon...
the train lines were shut so the fire brigade could put out the fire. There were no trains expected to run to Essex until 6pm.
When the trains started running they were packed. Luckily I got a seat but it was very crowded and uncomfortable!
Must remember to put in my compensation claim ;o)

Nothing there to suit me:-)) All that money and they don't look that comfy! Don't suppose he'll let me take a closer look and see if I can do a better job with my camera??? How about it Jim?

The concrete seats commemorating performances at the almost too perfect Minack Theatre, set into a cliffside in Cornwall.
Taken four years ago...this is the digital equivalent of going through old negatives!

WORLD CUP 2010 (Dispatches From The Couch)
I don't pretend to be a sports photographer. These shots were taken from my couch while watching as many games as possible during the World Cup Soccer 2010 matches.
I figure since I can't go to South Africa, I'd bring South Africa to me... with a twist. I've had a lot of fun being creative with these shots. It's kind of liberating in a way, quite playful really.
Opinions both good "or" bad are always welcome here. This is just a way for me to be creative with photography.

again, this is me. i agree with nikki when she posted once about how self-portraits make her uncomfortable.
i don't like being in pictures; if i am i rarely smile and if it's not a dead-pan expression, it's a wacked-out face i'm pulling. i suppose the generic 365 motivation is to get yourself to step out of your comfort zones. i started the project on a whim and am still trying to figure out what i want to get from it. all this one got me was a bunch of sand in my face. ah, the beach.
my necklace is missing as the chain broke. this is sad and finding new chains is harder than finding the perfect pair of jeans.

After celebrating our reunion for a couple of days and battling a heatwave that nearly finished us off we just about managed to uncover a conspiracy.
While rummaging through he bookshelf in search of an entertaining summer read (Double-O-Shaun and the Stolen Microfilm probably hehe) Henry had stumbled upon a hidden book about camping!
We?re not quite sure what our mommie is up to.. But the thought of camping instead of staying in a nice and comfortable hotel like civilized sheep makes us think we?ll better keep an eye on her...

I decided that a year on flickr with no SPs I needed to be brave and take
myself far, far out of my comfort zone to do this. I have never been happy
in front of the camera even though I love being behind it, this means there
are never any photos of me when I need one! I cannot tell you what a major
leap this is, even if I am still hiding behind my camera .... one step at a
time I think!
Nacnud (Duncan) had a link to an Isley Brothers song Summer Breeze ... this one was on the playlist and made me smile when I heard it www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1DDgNCLD84&a=ouMBR6LxDcM&...
I admire people who have the confidence to do really good SPs. Kellyk09 is
amazing at them! Take a look :) www.flickr.com/photos/kak3/
Techinically it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be doing this. Using a
wide'ish aperture to get the light without flash it still rendered me out of
focus (I must have moved despite trying countless times not to) .....
actually its no bad thing having the soft focus because I have hardly any
make-up on ... believe me I need some! I had my hair done today and the
hairdresser (Tracy, she is SO lovely) curled it a little and its full of
bounce which is a nice change!
