The scenery was spectacular as we ambled across the sand.
After about 20 minutes I was becoming more relaxed and began to enjoy the trek.
However it wasn't to last.

I was holding on with one hand, and taking pictures by pointing the camera in the general direction of the camels behind me with the other.
It was very hot and a warm wind was blowing around us.

It was late afternoon when we were introduced to our camels for our trek to the camp.
We were each assigned a camel, and after getting to its feet we began the first half of our trip.
I was told that mine came equiped with air conditioning, but not air bags or seat belts.
It did seem a long way off the ground sitting in the saddle.
