One of the things I like about Texas is the big sunsets. My maternal grandfather is named Bradley and this made me think of him. I hope I get his good longevity genes!

This grouse blends in quite nicely with her environment. Nature sure does take care of its critters. This was taken on the Humes Ranch Trail in the Olympic National Park.

I was amazed when I downloaded this onto my computer at the markings on this grasshopper which matched the sand he lives around. That isn't sand on him, it is him. This was taken at Humes Ranch on the Elwha River, Olympic National Park.

One more from the wonderful Ya HaTinda Ranch, taken from the ranch's gate to the opposite side. One just can't have enough of the glorious sights while in Ya Ha Tinda. This region is simply amazing.
Only 3 days to go till my family gets here and out holiday begins. I hope to get there standing because, geez... so much work to do, and frankly, I'm bloody tired. But... the house smells good, the fridge is stocked with yummy stuff, and we find ourselves managing to do stuff that was neglected for many months. So, all is well *s*.
