Good news: Chili?s was great. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food. The wait staff was very friendly and didn?t complain that I was overly picky with what to leave off my burger, and what to add on the side. It was a great lunch.
Bad news: after lunch I took on a horrible migraine and fear I may be coming down with something like the flu. NOT because of Chili?s I?m sure!
I was inspired this last November with watching people do daily posts of what they were thankful for in their life. It was nice to see where everyone posted their thanks and who and what they were thankful for. I thought it?d make a nice theme for 2012, but to be honest I wasn?t sure I could pull it off. Instead, I made it a goal to just thank people more every day. Very simple, very quiet practice.
It?s a practice I think we all should do, because you?re really putting such positive thoughts out there. I try to comment on people?s photos, I try to follow up with people after meetings to thank them for their contribution, and so on. When you do that, you often make those people?s day. When people tell me those things it makes MY day? and I want to make everyone?s day. If only we all did that a little more and complained just a little less? wow, what a world!
I?d like to e-mail the manager and thank her for a well-managed restaurant. Who knows, maybe it?ll make her day!
