She was not friendly to the camera, but she was a darling making her own toys with the plastic packets. She gradually realized that grandpa was only trying to be friendly and let me take her photograph. However, her smile was brief in that time of terror, the fall of Mulaitivu, I could have hugged her given the chance. I would have been chopped to pieces with the fisherman's knives if I had tried. She haunts my memories. She was not just someone to photograph but to remember. God keep her.

***Day Twentyfour*** 29.5.2010
So 365 has had a turning point I,m still a day behind , but now I've decided to break the flow and go against what I first thought the theme of this project was going to be which was self portraits.
I now want it to include self portraits but also reflect who I am and whatever is going on in the day when the shot is taken.
For this project it is no longer about just about a technically correct and creatively Image any more , Its about me , life , and recording it like a visual diary like i always have through painting and writing.
