The penultimate image of the series, we're up to part 9 of the 10 shot themed project I recently put together, centred around our journey through life and our loss of innocence as we progress through it.

As I mentioned, the theme is of our journey through life, from our beginning to our end. As part of this journey, the images try to show how our early innocence and purity is slowly lost as we pass through childhood and into adulthood. This set consists of ten images, of which this is the ninth. It is best viewed in sequence, starting with part one.

Processing & Strobist Info: okay, the cigarette was made out of a shell (which consisted of the filter and paper) and I added non-tobacco, non-nicotine based herbal innards. I added the hot cherry and smoke in photoshop. I used a red gelled speedlite (back) for the light, triggered using an extra long ettl cable.

Best viewed in black. Press 'l' for black.
