Up early, to college by 9am, developed some films, assignment briefing at for two hours, afterwards developed the last of my portrait films and grabbed a quick lunch. Then a really interesting talk from photographer Simon Roberts. I had some doubts about his work before but hearing him explain his choices really nullified them all. Then a theory lecture on the photographer/photo as witness. Then a discussion about producing an MA publication of some type. Finally got in at 8pm only to spend the evening at my desk scanning. Sleep.

A busy day, up early and to north London to photograph my first subject, poet Dannie Abse. Dropped by at my grandmothers afterwards for a coffee and snapped this on my phone. Then to Paddington to photograph journalist and Frontline Club founder Vaughan Smith. Down to LCC to develop the films, then back out at six to the National Theatre to photo my final subject, Alex Jennings. Back to dad's for a well deserved supper and several glasses of wine.

A bit of a wasted day, started replaying Skyrim as a totally different character which was challenging. Read and wrote some. I've started to think about issues I might look at in my first essay for the MA. My interest in photo-manipulation is rearing its ugly head, but I may just try to get that out of my system by blogging. Over to dad's place in the evening with for a big family meal to celebrate his birthday.

On Feb. 7, Richard Griffin received a Department of Navy Acquisition Intern Program (NAIP) Graduation certificate by Capt. David Bustamante, NAVFAC Hawaii executive officer, at an acquisition employees gathering in Bldg. A13. This developmental program assists acquisition professionals become better prepared for their future career in a critical and demanding profession. Griffin began the program in August 2009. With graduation, Griffin has been placed into a position within the Facilities, Engineering and Acquisition Division, PRJ22 ACO Construction (PH North & Outlying) team.
