I need your encouraging words more than ever today.
Every time I feel that I can go no further with my art you always find the words that push me forward, that make me believe I can.
Others give me their encouraging words, but nothing can match the words that come from the mouth of the photographer whose photographs inspire me to no end.
Tell me I can.

Beyond Layers is a year of inspiration, encouragement and challenge. It is a journey I am taking with the talented and wonderful Kim Klassen and hundreds of other artist/writer/photographers. In this challenge we were encouraged to think about (and then create) the idea that less is more, lighten up, not too much, go easy, look for the light...well, you get the idea, right?
I was so glad for this challenge, because once I applied the knowledge and saw it up close and personal, it felt so calming, almost healing, like slowing down the pace and taking a deep breath of fresh air.
