Looking back towards Brodie Castle from the pond adjacent to the small lane that runs close by. It was a nice path to walk down and certainly added an air of mystique to the castle itself.

Close to the level crossing to cross the train line is this road sign, showing the way to Macbeth's Hillock. I might have been intrigued to find out what that was had I more time!

Here's me at Brodie Castle, thoroughly enjoying the place and the feel of the history and family setting.

Looking from this corner of Brodie Castle towards the East, you can see just how well hidden from this side the South West tower is.

On the outer walls of Brodie Castle, the crest of the family clan at the time is visible. It's really well crafted but very high up on the wall, but managed to get a reasonable close up!

This former family apartment, that used to be the Laird's Apartments, are now a holiday apartment to be let for up to 14 people. Not quite sure if that really fits in with the ethos of the castle, mind you!

One of the outer buildings of Brodie Castle houses the former dairy, built in a position so that it would be cool to keep fresh milk in.
The pots are shown by the window, all to be filled.

Walking along the gardens in Brodie Castle certainly gives you a feel for how large the place actually is. Here's the side view with the three floors.

And girl I'm asking could yo be my queen?

The sundial at Brodie Castle stand atop this ornate piece of stone work, and certainly is a surprise when walking around the garden shrubbery.

No historic castle would of course be complete with a sundial, and Brodie Castle is no exception to this rule. It's actually really well maintained too.
